Facebook fields over 1.5 billion searches a day. That means they have billions of opportunities to sell keyword ads. To increase these opportunities, Facebook needs to increase the number and variety of things searched. Which is why, as of yesterday, Facebook Search will return anything you’re allowed to see from its 2 trillion posts. The search order will highlight content from trusted news sources, followed by people in your network, lists of the most popular links or quotes about a topic, and then strangers.
General Assembly, the ed-tech startup that teaches the hard skills actually needed in the real world, is teaming up with Google to offer a 12-week immersive Android developer course. The course will be offered in next year in both NYC (January) and San Fran (February).
